RUTH GRIFFITH

Where did you grow up? I was born in Southern California, lived in Northern Nevada for most of my life with a short stint in Arizona. I moved to Northern California 12 years ago when we bought SERVPRO of Auburn/Rocklin.

Where did you work prior to SERVPRO? I worked for John Ascuaga’s Nugget in Sparks, NV. I was a convention services coordinator, banquet secretary, and banquet server.

How long have you been an owner? For 12 years.

What is your job title? President/Majority Owner

What are some responsibilities of your job? Everything! I’m the majority owner….therefore I’m responsible for the oversight of all areas of the company.

Why do you believe you’ve been successful? I have a wonderful team of people who surround me and a mighty God who loves and cares for me and this business. I love the community I live in and have made many friends and relationships that have helped me grow and succeed in this business.

What do you consider your greatest challenge? My attitude. Learning how to let go of the things that are not important and not overreacting when things don’t go well.

Hobbies/interests? I love to read, write, travel, and I really like to kayak! I want to be able to get out on the water…no phone…just enjoying the beauty of the day. I used to love to run but not anymore….my knees hurt too much.

Family? I have a beautiful 13 year old daughter who is in competitive gymnastics.

Pet? I have a beautiful 13 year old daughter; between her and the business, I don’t have time for anything else.

Favorite Restaurants?  Carpe Vino in Auburn and Starbucks. Wine and coffee….what else do I need?
